Joel Hemphill's New Television Show In early 2011, a new, Christian cable TV show began production that will feature Joel Hemphill and his wife LaBreeska and be entitled “To God Be the Glory." That is the title of Joel's book (390 pp.), published in 2006, about his new-found belief that only the Father is God and therefore Jesus is Lord and Savior, but not God. The website 21stcr.org will air this program for those living where they don't receive this TV channel. More news to come concerning this new TV show.
Joel Hemphill has been an excellent evangelist, preacher, and singer of gospel music for decades. And he became quite a celebrity as a songwriter and recording artist with six #1 hits and 350 songs by him and his family members. The Southern Gospel Music Association inducted Joel into its Hall of Fame in 2007.
I met Joel and his charming wife LaBreeska in 2010 at the 19th Theological Conference at Atlanta, Georgia, hosted by Sir Anthony Buzzard. It was my first time to meet brethren of like faith in the One God movement. Joel was one of the speakers there, and I think folks are going to be in for a treat with this upcoming TV program. The Hemphills have that captivating southern charm, and Joel is such a funny guy. Ever since he came public with his one God belief, he has been so vilified and denounced by his Christian brethren as a heretic. But Joel is sold out to these theological convictions, and he is very motivated to make them known.
21stCR.org Celebrates Success As 2012 began, J. Dan Gill's online ministry--21st Century Reformation at the website 21stcr.org--celebrated two full years of wonderful success in the flourishing One God movement. Dan is a pastor in Tennessee and such a likeable guy. Their website is already available in 13 foreign languages and has been viewed in 140 nations. They announced what videos, interviews, articles, book reviews, etc. published on their website were most popular in 2011. I was encouraged to learn that my first public speech about my changed faith--which I delivered at the 19th annual Theological Conference convened by the Atlanta Bible College in May, 2010--was their most watched video in 2011. And the most read article that year was my seven-page appendix entitled "The Doctrine of the Trinity" in my book The Restitution of Jesus Christ. This speech is entitled "Does the Bible Identify Jesus as God?" and you can watch this video here at this website by going to the page Public Speaking. Or watch it and read the trinity article at 21stcr.org.
